Recommended: Jack Welch's Winning

This is the recent book I read and I’m cursing myself why I didn’t read it 3 years back. It was on my to-do list for that long, when it was published, and somehow I missed it.

Why am I cursing myself? Because it would’ve saved me about 3 years of common, avoidable mistakes at my job and life in general. It’s that simple. That’s why, this is coming with a ‘recommended’ tag.

Jack Welch, GE’s legendary former CEO of about 20 years, first wrote the book ‘Straight from the Guts’. This was about his life, how he started and ended his career at GE. The second one, ‘Winning’ is more universal and influential. I’m not going to say what’s in the book, but I will certainly tell you where it benefits you career-wise – which you may apply in your personal life as well.

You’ll get an idea how to identify and get the job you love, how to get promotions, how to deal with issues at office, work-life balance, how to beat competition – and so on.

Enjoy and Start Winning!

  2. Sri,
Really good to know. I was never been a good reader. But recently something is really killing me from withing for missing all the reads. I am really happy to say that I have completed one book, my first book. Till now I always used to start something and drop in the middle. This time I decided I should complete and I am so happy that I could complete the book. It was “Deception Point”, by Dan Brown.

This has inspired me to read more. I think Winning should be my next. Thanks for remindation.
